Northlands International’s Early Childhood Center (from ages 2-4) implements a child centered, play-based pedagogy that explicitly teaches international values. The curriculum content reflects the latest research on early childhood development with input from leading experts, academics, teachers and parents.
In our experience we have learned that each child is special, each has its own times and qualities, our mission is to discover the qualities of each child and enhance them in order to be able to guide them in the basic education that must be had in the 7 main areas :
FOXES (3-4 yo)
Socialisation and sharing, gaining independence, fine and gross motor skill development, English through stories, age appropriate lessons, instructions, games, creative opportunities, pre-writing & reading skills, pre-numeracy skills
BEARS (4-5 yo)
Learning classroom rules, introduction to phonics, reading and writing readiness, numeracy skill development, child led/teacher facilitated play, investigating and experimenting to find out more about the world around us.
LIONS (5-6 yo)
Curricular subject areas are introduced. Building up basic literacy and numeracy skills, project based learning, hands on activities, play based learning still important.
We make visits with each family previously arranged. Ask for information and come and meet us.
